Wedding guests not served by workers on strike

After her wedding ceremony on Sunday, Zhang Ling, a new bride from Beijing, was looking forward to savoring the moment with family and friends at a lavish wedding banquet that evening.

To her dismay, the staff of the restaurant where the banquet was to be held happened to go a strike that day, demanding higher wages.

As the guests began to pour out of the restaurant, unfed, Zhang fainted due to anxiety. Her worried mother did the same.
